Merry Christmas!!

I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays in one way or another. I'm currently parked in my recliner with my laptop while enjoying one of my presents with my mother and Ed. We are watching Bugs Bunny cartoons from the 5th Golden Collection DVDs. Man, there are some funny ones in this set. Yes, I enjoy watching the same things that I did when I was 8 yrs. old! Meanwhile, my kids are totally engrossed with a new computer and Mario Super Galaxy (Wii game). I'm sure things will get quite noisy later when they get around to trying out Guitar Hero III. The dogs all have new bones to chew on and even the rabbit got a treat.

I did get a few gamey gifts this year. Ed got me a very nice Mah-Jongg set and book. I've wanted to learn how to play this game for a while. I was actually at a social gathering last month and met a woman who was looking for people to play Mah-Jongg. Most of the other women there had never even heard of it. I guess I need to look her up now.

I also got the book, Hobby Games: The 100 Best, which is full of essays by prominent people in the gaming industry writing about their favorite games. It looks pretty good, covering a wide assortment of people and games.

We have a ham to put in the oven for dinner later and then perhaps we'll play a game or two if I can unplug my kids from their electronics.

What a splendid day! Why can't every day be Christmas?!
